Nick Bodimeade was born in London, but has lived most of his life on the south coast. He trained at Worthing and Wolverhampton, graduating in Fine Art in 1979. Since leaving art college, he has worked continuously as an artist, exhibiting widely in both group and solo exhibitions. He was a founder of the Chiltern Sculpture Trust, and has been involved in numerous artist-led initiatives and public art projects. As a teacher and lecturer, he has worked in many schools and colleges, including North Brook College in Worthing, North Oxfordshire School of Art and Design in Banbury and Brighton College of Technology. He is currently course leader of Fine Art at Buckinghamshire and Chilterns University College.
