Yu-lan Liu was born in Taiwan to a traditional family. Her parents have eight children and they own a supermarket. She worked as an accountant in Taiwan for six years. She came to England in 1992, and studied fashion, winning a prize in the Café Royal Fashion Show. She is currently studying for a degree in Fine Art at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. I was an accountant in Taiwan, but after I came to England I studied fashion and then art and design.
